FLYING and SCORING
Q
Launch and landing directions will be announced before the start of task time for each group.
Q If a model is released before the beginning of the task time a 0 score will result for that flight.
Q If a model hits any person any time during the flight or landing, incl. the pilot or helpers, a 0 score will result for that flight.
Q It is the responsibility of each pilot to fly his model in a safe manner.
Q Dangerous flying, in the opinion of the contest director, will result in a loss of points or disqualification.
Q Do not fly low over the pits or people on the field. Your helper should make sure that your intended landing zone is clear of

people before you land.
Q You or your helper may retrieve your model any time as long as you are not putting yourself in danger or impeding someone
        else’s landing.

Scoring:     -  1 point for each second of flight time from release of the model until the model stops moving.

-  If the model is still in motion at the end of task time 2 points per second will be deducted from the flight score.
                            -  Scoring will be man on man. The highest score in each flight group will receive 1000 points. The remaining
scores in that group will receive points based on their score divided by the winning score.
                            -  Landing bonus points will be added to the flight score before determining scores. Bonus landing points will be
                               awarded as follows:
Within a 5 ft radius from the landing spot:   15 points
Within a 10 ft radius from the landing spot:  10 points
Within a 15 ft radius from the landing spot:    5 points
Landings beyond the 15 ft radius:                    0 points
